The PUBG Global Championship 2026 (PGC 2026) is set to take place in İstanbul, Türkiye, from December 1 (Tuesday) to December 13 (Sunday). Thirty-two teams will compete for a prize pool exceeding $1,500,000, augmented by fan-driven crowdfunding, and the coveted title of PUBG Esports global champion.
PGC 2026 Overview
- Location: İstanbul, Türkiye
- Dates: December 1 (Tue) – December 13 (Sun), 2026
- Teams: 32
- Prize Pool: $1,500,000 (+ crowdfunding)

New Qualification Path
PGC 2026 introduces a tiered qualification structure, rewarding consistent performance throughout the season. Teams will now enter the tournament at different stages based on their results in PGS and regional leagues. This system eliminates a shared Group Stage start, with top-seeded teams bypassing earlier rounds.

There are three entry paths:
- Grand Finals Direct Invite: 8 teams
- Survival Stage Day 1 Direct: 8 teams
- Qualifying Stage Entry: 16 teams
This new format emphasizes the importance of every match in regional leagues and PGS events leading up to the global stage. If a team qualifies through both PGS points and a regional league, the higher-stage qualification takes precedence. Unused seeds due to double qualification are reallocated to the next-in-line team in that region's PGC points standings.
Regional Seed Allocation
- Global Seeds (PGS): 8 slots
- Americas (PAS): 4 slots
- China (PCL): 4 slots
- EMEA (PEC): 4 slots
- Korea (PWS): 3 slots
- Rest of APAC (PMS): 2 slots
- Thailand (PTS): 3 slots
- Vietnam (PVS): 3 slots
- Wildcard: 1 slot (for the host region, Türkiye)
Tournament Format
The PGC 2026 tournament is divided into three phases:

Qualifying Stage — December 1 (Tue)
16 Qualifying Stage seeds compete. The top 8 advance to Survival Stage Day 1, while the remaining 8 move to Survival Stage Day 2.
Survival Stage — December 2 (Wed) – December 6 (Sun)
This five-day stage features 16 teams daily. From Day 1 to Day 4, the highest-scoring team each day secures a direct Grand Finals spot (four teams total). On the final day, the top 16 teams by cumulative points from Days 1-4 battle for the last four Grand Finals spots.
Grand Finals — December 11 (Fri) – December 13 (Sun)
The Grand Finals consist of 15 matches over three days (five per day) to determine the global champion.
Grand Finals Qualified Teams
16 teams will reach the Grand Finals via three paths:
- Grand Finals Direct Invite: 8 teams (Six Regional League 1st place teams + PGS 1st place + Host Country Wildcard)
- Survival Stage Daily Match Winners: 4 teams (One winner from each of Survival Stage Day 1-4)
- Survival Stage Cumulative Top 4: 4 teams (Top 4 by total points across the entire Survival Stage)
Prize Pool
The PGC 2026 prize pool totals $1,500,000+, comprising a Ranking Prize and a Special Prize.

- Ranking Prize: $1,310,000 total, distributed based on Grand Finals qualification and final standings. This includes minimum guaranteed payouts for non-Grand Finals teams.
- Special Prize: $190,000 total, awarded for key performances during the Grand Finals.
Fan-driven crowdfunding will return, with contributions distributed exclusively to the Grand Finals Top 8 teams, allocated by final standing (30% to 4%).
