Delta Force's Season Echo is now live, bringing a significant overhaul to the popular Operations map, Zero Dam. The developers focused on improving gameplay flow, readability, and overall combat feel based on community feedback.
Key Changes to Zero Dam
The Elevator Extraction Point, Rebuilt
The elevator extraction point, previously a chokepoint, has been redesigned to encourage dynamic engagements. A second passage has been added, providing extractors with a flanking option. Excessive defender cover around the elevator interior has been removed, and attacker peek angles from outside have been widened. This aims to reward movement and tactical play over static defensive positions.

The Marsh Has Eyes
A new reed marsh ecosystem has been introduced near the water, featuring dense vegetation, swimmable channels, and an explorable underwater area. To counter potential camping, the marsh now includes local wildlife (birds) that react to player intrusion. Spooked birds will alert nearby players to an enemy's presence, transforming camping into a calculated risk.

Operation Gold
Zero Dam now features a new task chain, "Operation Gold." Players assist Raven in opening the dam's vault. Once inside, a limited window exists before hydrogen gas is vented, causing escalating damage. This "as-greedy-as-you-dare" mechanic forces players to decide between a safe haul and pushing their luck for more loot. Operation Gold is mutually exclusive with Operation Wall Breaker.

Quality of Life and Minor Additions
Several smaller, impactful changes have been implemented:
- Crunched Prone Pose: Going prone against a wall now naturally tucks an Operator's legs, preventing clipping and maintaining stealth.
- Marking System: Players can now directly mark interactables (levers, ziplines, keycard readers) and clearly distinguish between marked enemy players and AI guards.
- Collection Room: Weapon Racks have been added to collection rooms, displaying firearms and their stats.
- New Red-tier Collectibles: Alongside Bull Horn mounds, new Red-tier collectibles, including an iridescent soccer ball, are available.
- Quality of Life Improvements: Wheel menu transparency is now adjustable, and console players can share/import weapon modification codes.
Bull Horn Mounds
Horn-shaped mounds, inspired by local Ahsarah legend, are scattered across the map. Players can unearth loot or bury items with messages for others. This mechanic is part of an upcoming community activity, with more details to be revealed soon.
The developers emphasize that these changes aim to make every decision on Zero Dam carry weight, from extraction choices to engaging with new mechanics like the vault and marshland. Player feedback remains crucial for future iterations.
