Counter-Strike 2 Update: Recoil Camera Motion and Aim Punch Adjusted, Burst Fire Fixed

Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike 2, bringing several key adjustments to gameplay mechanics, animation, and general fixes. The patch primarily focuses on refining the shooting experience, ensuring greater consistency with CS:GO's feel while maintaining CS2's bullet trajectories.
Gameplay Adjustments
The most significant changes revolve around recoil camera motion and aim punch. Players will notice that the camera's movement due to recoil now more closely matches that of CS:GO. Importantly, this adjustment is purely visual; bullet trajectories remain consistent with CS2's established mechanics.
Furthermore, the update addresses how aim punch is experienced. Players will now see the full camera motion caused by external aim punch sources (like getting shot) regardless of their network latency. The actual impact of aim punch on bullet trajectories, however, continues to be applied instantly on the server side, ensuring fairness and responsiveness.
Animation and Miscellaneous Fixes
Beyond core gameplay, the update includes several animation refinements and bug fixes:
- Minor adjustments to viewmodel animations.
- Fixed several instances where crouch transitions in the air were instantaneous, leading to unnatural movement.
- Fixed a bug where MVP panel characters were not resetting correctly after a round.
- Crucially, a bug that removed the delay between burst fire bullets has been resolved, restoring the intended firing rhythm for burst weapons.
