
The Apex Legends Anti-Cheat Team has provided an update on their efforts during Season 28, highlighting significant progress in combating cheating. From February 10 to May 5, a total of 139,697 accounts were banned across all platforms for various cheating infractions.
Key Ban Statistics for Season 28
The report detailed specific categories of bans:
- DMA: 4,290 bans
- HWID Spoofer: 7,136 bans
- Automatic Hardware Detection: 10,658 bans
- Xim/Titan: 3,865 bans
Beyond account bans, the team also removed a substantial amount of Ranked Points (RP) from confirmed cheaters. A total of 7,912,251 RP was removed, with 4,413,776 RP from Split 1 and 3,498,475 RP from Split 2.
Enhanced Detection Systems and Competitive Integrity
Season 28 saw the implementation of multiple new detection systems and the overhaul of existing ones. These advancements contributed to the lowest match infection rate ever recorded in Apex Legends, at 4.1%.
Furthermore, the Anti-Cheat Team played a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the competitive scene, denying 547 entries into ALGS tournaments due to cheating concerns.
The team confirmed they are actively working on additional updates, enhancements, and detection methods for the ongoing Season 29, with more information expected soon.
