Apex Legends 'Marked' Season: Bloodhound Rework, Major Buffs & Nerfs, New Attachments, and Energy Ammo Overhaul Detailed

Apex Legends is gearing up for its next season, Marked, bringing significant meta changes, a major Bloodhound rework, and an overhaul to weapon systems, including new attachment types and a complete revamp of energy ammo.

Legend Buffs

Bloodhound Rework

Bloodhound receives a substantial rework aimed at increasing their competitive viability across all skill tiers, especially given their low pick rate at Gold tier and above. The changes focus on enhancing their hunter fantasy.

  • Passive: Lingering enemy trails are now easier to follow, and White Ravens can be activated more readily by glancing at them.
  • Tactical: Now provides additional "snapshot" scans after the initial scan, extending enemy tracking without full wallhacks.
  • Ultimate (Allfather’s Cloak): Deploys a device that cloaks all players (squadmates and enemies) who approach it. The cloak lasts 12 seconds after leaving the area and breaks upon firing or taking damage. This offers new ambush and escape opportunities.
  • New Upgrades:
    • Hidden Sight: Refreshes Tactical on Ultimate use and hides scanning pulse while cloaked.
    • Bird’s Eye: White Ravens can split to mark two nearest enemies simultaneously.
    • True Predator: Allows recloaking after firing a weapon, enhancing hit-and-run tactics.

Loba Buff

Loba's utility has declined with the introduction of amps and arsenals. These buffs aim to improve her relevance.

  • Tactical: Activation time reduced from 0.6s to 0.4s, projectile speed increased by ~30%, and range increased by 15%.
  • Ultimate: Cooldown reduced from 150s to 120s.

Rampart Buff

Rampart continues to struggle with low pick rates despite previous changes. Her setup speed and early-game viability are being addressed.

  • Passive: Now progresses Locked Hop-Ups 50% faster.
  • Tactical: Increased health for Amped Cover walls, especially at lower EVO levels.
  • Ultimate: Significantly increased movement speed while spinning up or firing Sheila.

Legend Nerfs

Valkyrie Nerf

Valkyrie has maintained a strong position, and these nerfs aim to reduce her long-range artillery potential and tactical mobility.

  • Tactical: Missile damage reduced, and trajectory adjusted to make it harder to hit targets behind high cover.
  • Ultimate: Launch height reduced by 15%.
  • Upgrades:
    • Eye in the Sky: Reduced through-wall scan base distance to 100m.
    • Supersonic: Speed improvement when blasting off slightly nerfed from 2.5 seconds to 3.0 seconds.

Axle Nerf

Axle's Kickstart drone remains too oppressive, and further adjustments are being made to increase counterplay and balance her Nitro Gates.

  • Tactical: Max slide boost time reduced from 5 seconds to 3 seconds.
  • Ultimate: Now affects Axle herself and allies. Axle takes damage, stun, and displacement; allies receive stun and displacement but no damage. This forces more strategic deployment.
  • Upgrades:
    • Automata replaced with Long Haul, which restores Tactical max slide time to 5 seconds.
    • Upgrade order shuffled: Level 2: Sliding Shooter vs Long Haul; Level 3: Jump Gate vs Super Slider.

Seer Nerf

Seer's recent buffs made him too dominant, particularly with his Tactical's turn slow. These changes aim to reduce frustration while maintaining his counter-movement role.

  • Tactical: Turn slow effect significantly reduced to be more subtle. The intent is to target highly mobile Legends more specifically in future implementations of such slows.

Weapons & Loot

UI Stat Overhaul

A major UI update provides greater transparency for weapon and attachment stats, both in the lobby and in-game.

  • Lobby: A new "Playground" tab under each weapon category allows players to view weapon stats and how they change with various attachments.

  • In-Game: New weapon and attachment loot cards, plus an inventory hover state, display detailed stats and attachment effects.

These changes aim to improve player onboarding and clarity, with an option for a Compact UI mode for experienced players.

Corrupted Attachments

Introducing a new class of attachments that offer powerful buffs alongside significant drawbacks, creating interesting risk-reward choices for loadouts. Only one Corrupted Attachment can be equipped per weapon.

Revamped Power Journey

The overall loot quality across maps is being reduced to make high-tier loot feel more impactful and to provide a more consistent power journey throughout a match. This addresses "loot creep" from previous seasons.

  • Loot Tables: All map loot tables are reworked, with a general reduction in purple and gold tier items in standard POIs.
  • High-Tier Loot: Special locations like Trials, vaults, Icarus’s Bridge, and care packages will now be the primary sources for high-tier loot and Corrupted Attachments.
  • Arsenals: Reworked.
  • Extended Supply Bins & Weapon Supply Bins: Removed.
  • Loot Bin Reset: Reworked.

Energy Ammo Rework

Energy weapons will now feature a regenerating ammo stockpile, removing the need to loot for energy ammo.

  • Regenerating Ammo: Energy weapons will automatically replenish their ammo over time when idle.
  • This change aims to provide more strategic choice in weapon loadouts and inventory management, affecting BR, Mixtape, and Wildcard modes.

These extensive changes are set to go live with the Marked season. Full patch notes will be available on August 3rd, 2026.
