The Finals Update 9.12.0: Sponsor Showdown, Chun Jie XP Boost, and Server Fixes

The Finals has released Update 9.12.0, introducing the new Sponsor Showdown Event, a Chun Jie Bonus XP and Fans Event, a fresh Store update, free Twitch Drops, and crucial bug fixes.

Event: Sponsor Showdown

The Sponsor Showdown is now live, challenging players to earn as many Fans as possible across all game modes to elevate their chosen sponsor on the leaderboard. All sponsors are participating, allowing players to represent any they wish.

Event: Chun Jie Bonus XP

To help players complete their Battle Pass, the Chun Jie Bonus XP and Fans event is active until the end of the season. This event offers up to 200% XP for Daily Contracts and up to 150% XP and Fans for gameplay.

Store Update: Extracurricular Crew Set & Unquenchable Set

The latest Store update introduces the Extracurricular Crew Set, featuring alien-themed cosmetics. Additionally, the Unquenchable Set, sponsored by OSPUZE, is now available.

Twitch Drops: Helping Hands

New Twitch Drops are available until March 19. Players can earn the “Free Advice” Emblem, “Wing It Protocol” Top, and “Precision Protocol” Hoodie by watching any streamer playing The Finals with drops enabled.

Performance: Server Improvements

Thanks to community feedback, a server cluster issue impacting West Coast players from February 12-25, causing significant lag, has been identified and fixed. Players in the affected region should now experience smoother gameplay.

  • Increased Objective Score for capturing Grand Vaults from 100 to 1,000.
  • Increased Objective Score for eliminating opponents near Grand Vaults from 25 to 250.
  • Overall objective score increased by 10x for capturing objectives and eliminating opponents near objectives.

Content and Bug Fixes

Cosmetics

• Improved visuals on multiple skins for the M11.
• Fixed an issue where the stomach could appear compressed when wearing certain skirts with crop tops.
• The Chart-Topper Emote now has two versions: Chart-Topper and Chart-Stopper. Existing owners will receive both, and future purchases will include both.
• Removed compatibility with crossbody items on the Wise-Wing Jumper to reduce mesh clipping.
• Fixed clipping on the Renegade Wrap Playful Spirit top.
• Fixed a visible hole on the Final Mantra outfit.

Maps

• General
  • Removed Lunar New Year lanterns and restored standard map rotation, re-enabling blue healing visuals in Seoul, Monaco, and Las Vegas.
  • Re-enabled the Duck and Cover map variant.
• Fang Wai City
  • Fixed missing collision that allowed players to go out of bounds.
  • Ensured the backdrop ocean asset loads correctly, fixing gaps in terrain.

UI

• Fixed an issue where Multibucks rewards did not display quantity or rarity.
