Team Fortress 2 Update Addresses Bugs, Map Improvements, and Cosmetics

Valve just shipped an update for Team Fortress 2, bringing a range of fixes and quality-of-life improvements. Players will receive the update automatically upon restarting the game.
General Fixes and Cosmetic Adjustments
The update addresses a missing sound for the Taunt: Circuit Breaker and renames the "Northern Nights" Summer 2026 Unusual effect to "Polar Prism". The Floral Growth Unusual effect also received an update to fix orientation and position issues.
Several cosmetic items saw adjustments:
- The Bald Spotter: Vertex normals and diffuse on the head were adjusted, along with normals and specular on the head mirror. The mesh size was slightly reduced, facial flexes fixed, and the lens texture size reduced.
- The Surgical Shroud: A vertex normal issue on the coat was fixed, Phongfresnelranges on the mirror were adjusted for improved envmap effect, and the mirror's texture size was reduced.
Additionally, some tournament medals were updated or added.
Map Improvements
Two maps received significant updates to enhance gameplay and visuals:
- koth_dusker: Globally improved lighting in outdoor areas for better team recognition.
- cp_premuda:
- Fixed conflicting files that led to crashes.
- Resolved several spawn room errors.
- Adjusted respawn times to facilitate easier capping.
- Sound timings and volume were adjusted.
- Dark spaces and tunnels were brightened.
- Numerous smaller changes were implemented across the map to improve game flow.
- Miscellaneous visual and clipping bugs were fixed.
