Ubisoft has released the Y11S2.2 mid-season patch notes for Rainbow Six Siege, detailing significant changes including mouse and keyboard support for consoles, updates to the 1v1 Arcade mode, and major operator balancing.

Mouse & Keyboard Support on Consoles

Mouse and keyboard (M&K) support is now enabled for console players within the PC crossplay pool. This integration aims to enhance communication through text chat for teams with console players. Custom Games will also feature a new 'Input Device' option, allowing hosts to decide whether M&K is permitted. M&K remains forbidden in other console-only pools.

Arcade 1v1 Bomb Updates

The 1v1 Arcade mode returns with several adjustments based on community feedback, designed to create faster, fairer, and more competitive matches.

Map Pool Changes:

  • Added: Coastline, Consulate, Outback
  • Removed: House

Matchmaking:

  • Matchmaking configuration has been tweaked to better reflect player skill levels.

Settings Adjustments:

  • Operator Attrition replaces Operator Ban.
  • All Operators are playable, except Montagne, Blackbeard, Blitz, and Clash.
  • Preparation Phase reduced to 15 seconds (from 30).
  • Objective site location is revealed at the beginning of the round.
  • Reinforcements pool reduced from 10 to 6.

Balancing: Major Changes

Dokkaebi

  • JEGEO PAYLOAD: Cooldown is now per-target (from global ability).
  • Cooldown: 14 seconds (from 7).

Wamai

  • MAG-NET SYSTEM:
    • Charge update frequency: 20s (was 40s).
    • Total maximum Charges: 7 (was 6).
    • Reduced activation time to 0.5s (was 1.5s).
  • LOADOUT:
    • Gadgets: Added Deployable Shield.
    • Replaced Impact Grenades with C4.

Jäger

  • BASE STATS:
    • Speed: 3 (was 2).
    • Health: 1 (was 2).

Zofia

  • KS79 LIFELINE:
    • Concussion Grenades ammunition increased to 3 (was 2).
    • Impact Grenades ammunition increased to 3 (was 2).

Balancing: Refinement Changes

416-C (Jäger)

  • RECOIL – M&K & CONTROLLER:
    • Vertical: Reduced Vertical recoil on all burst stages.
    • Horizontal: Smoothed lateral recoil on all burst stages.
    • Recoil Evolution: The hardest part of the recoil will start on bullet 10 instead of 8, and has been generally softened.

Rauora

  • D.O.M. PANEL: Reduced cooldown between shots to 1s (was 3s).

Melusi

  • BANSHEE SONIC DEFENSE: Increased area of effect to 4.3m (was 4m).

Twitch

  • SHOCK DRONE: Reduced laser charges refill time to 28s (was 30s).

Lesion

  • GU MINE: Reduced refill time to 25s (was 30s).

Bug Fixes

Gameplay

  • FIXED – Mute's Signal Disruptor will disable the ACOG or Holo sights when equipped on the XK23.
  • FIXED – XK23 Magazine briefly spawns at wrong location when cancelling a tactical reload and then reloading an empty magazine.
  • FIXED – AI do not deploy their gadgets in the Kanal map's 1F Security room and 1F Map Room.

User Experience

  • FIXED – Sometimes microphone icons are greyed out and players are unable to communicate with voice chat.
