Marvel Rivals Season 7: White Fox Arrives, Esports Kicks Off, and Major Balance Shifts

Marvel Rivals Season 7, titled "The Hunt is On," launches on March 20th, 2026, at 09:00:00 (UTC), following an estimated two-hour maintenance. This update brings a new hero, significant system additions, competitive changes, and a major overhaul to ultimate ability balance.

New Hero: White Fox

South Korea's Kumiho super-spy, White Fox (Ami Han), joins the roster. She brings mystical cunning and espionage skills to the battlefield. Her arrival is accompanied by new lore: "Shards of Hope" for White Fox and "Real Power" for Captain America, alongside a new serial story, "The Hunt is On."

New Systems and Features

• Album System: Players can now capture and share epic in-game moments, wild dances, and heroic gatherings.
• Basketball Challenge Mini-Game: Head to Times Square or the Practice Range to test your aim in a new Shot Challenge, with leaderboards to track performance.

• New Placement Match System: Individual performance is now tracked, adjusting ranks by -100 to +100 competitive points after ten matches.

Esports

Marvel Rivals Ignite Preseason begins March 27th, introducing a new integrated Esports System:

• Global Tournament Overview: A hub for browsing tournaments, regions, teams, and player profiles.
• Live Match Streaming: Watch matches directly in-game.
• Instant Replay & Highlights: Relive past matches with in-game replays and video highlights.
• Schedules, Rules & Standings: Access regional match schedules, tournament formats, results, and live leaderboards.
• Team Up for Glory: Special partner team bundles will be released with the Preseason.

The Marvel Rivals Championship returns, offering Units for factions from Top 8 to open qualifiers. PC factions can earn Champion Points for a pro spot, with registration opening approximately one week into the season.

Balance Changes

Season 7 introduces significant balance adjustments, primarily slowing down the pace of Ultimate Abilities across the board to encourage more calculated gameplay and reduce "Ult spam."

Global Changes

Ultimate Ability charge rates have been nerfed, with a roughly 20% reduction in energy conversion from damage/healing and passive regeneration:

• Vanguards & Duelists: Damage-to-energy conversion reduced from 90% to 70%. Passive Ultimate Ability Energy regeneration reduced from 12/s to 11/s.
• Strategists: Damage/healing-to-energy conversion reduced from 90% to 75%. Passive Ultimate Ability Energy regeneration reduced from 12/s to 8/s.

Hero-Specific Adjustments

• Angela: Grounded precision increased, flight pressure reduced. Ultimate ability damage and control slightly hit.
• Captain America: Smoother shield work during sprints, but Ultimate gives less energy to allies.
• Deadpool (Vanguard/Duelist/Strategist): Survivability and Ultimate frequency slightly nerfed to match new Ultimate efficiency.
• Doctor Strange: Shield of the Seraphim value reduced.
• Emma Frost: Diamond Form damage reduction slightly dimmed, but Ultimate shines brighter with increased damage falloff and damage reduction during activation.
• Hulk: Increased Indestructible Guard absorbed damage to Ultimate ability charge conversion. Gamma Burst gains two charges with reduced single hit damage.
• Magneto: Slightly tougher in lane pressure and deadlier with Ultimate projectile speed increase.
• Black Panther: Removed cooldown on the second jump of Subtle Step.
• Blade: Boosted close combat, snappier ranged attacks. Bloodline Awakening now grants Bonus Health from excess lifesteal, and Thousand-Fold Slash Ultimate has lifesteal and increased healing reduction.
• Daredevil: Damage and tankiness toned down.
• Elsa Bloodstone: Pays a heavier price upon defeat (loses 2 Instinct stacks), and survivability drops.
• Hawkeye: Base Health reduced.
• Human Torch: Instantly recovers all Fire Cluster ammo energy after 1s of not using Blaze Cluster.
• Iron Man: Armor Overdrive duration extends by 2s per KO, startup reduced.
• Magik: Smoother ability execution, but normal form Magik Slash max charged damage reduced.
• Psylocke: Increased Psionic Crossbow cooldown reduction and Wing Shurikens damage.
• Scarlet Witch: Chaos Control (left-click) deals more damage to nearby foes with damage falloff, and charges Chthonian Burst (right-click) more frequently.
• Winter Soldier: Roterstern Spell Field damage on hit reduced.
• Gambit: Ragin' Royal Flush Ultimate Ability Charge Acceleration to allies and Movement Boost reduced, but additional single-target explosive damage increased.
• Invisible Woman: Guardian Shield healing reduced, but out-of-combat healing during Covert Advance increased.
• Luna Snow: Idol Aura now reduces Ice Arts cooldown by 2s whenever a hero with Idol Aura (self or ally) takes part in a KO.

Team-Up Abilities

Adjusted or Removed

• Duality Dance (Adam Warlock - Luna Snow): Removed. Adam Warlock loses the Team-Up Anchor 15% Healing Boost.
• Jeff-nado (Storm - Jeff the Land Shark): Removed.

New Team-Ups

• Blessing of the Kumiho (White Fox - Luna Snow): White Fox gains a 10% increase in healing effects as the Team-Up Anchor. Luna Snow unlocks the new Spirit Fox Accord ability.
• Cosmic Cyclone (Storm - Adam Warlock): Adam Warlock gains the Heavenly Harmony ability.

Fixes and Optimizations

• Experimental Feature: CPU Rendering Optimization (PC Only): Mid-to-high-end CPU users can enable this in Settings > Other > Performance Optimization (Beta) for potential performance boosts.
• Maps and Modes: Fixed a bug where Convoy Mode scoreboard could display incorrectly.
• Heroes: Fixed issues with Angela's Wingblade Ascent cooldown, Venom's Cellular Corrosion triggering twice, and Cloak sometimes not dying at zero Health in Phased state.
