Marvel Rivals has rolled out a new High/Low-Resolution Resource Pack feature, leveraging Steam's DLC mechanism to give players more control over their game experience. This update allows users to choose between high-resolution and low-resolution resource packs, directly impacting installation size and visual fidelity.
How It Works
Players can now enable or disable a specific DLC on Steam to switch between resource packs:
- DLC enabled: The high-resolution resource pack will be used, offering enhanced visual quality.
- DLC disabled: The low-resolution resource pack will be used, reducing the overall installation size at the potential cost of some visual fidelity.
This feature is designed to help players tailor the game to their device performance and personal preferences. To utilize this, ensure your game is updated to the latest version.
Enabling / Disabling the Resource Pack on Steam
First-Time Download
For players downloading Marvel Rivals for the first time, the high-resolution DLC will be enabled by default. To switch to the low-resolution pack initially:
- Open your Steam Library.
- Right-click Marvel Rivals.
- Select Properties.

- Go to the DLC tab.
- Uncheck the DLC to use the low-resolution resource pack.

If you re-check the DLC, the high-resolution pack will begin downloading.
For Players Who Have Already Downloaded the Game
If you already have Marvel Rivals installed, you can switch between packs as follows:
- Open your Steam Library.
- Right-click Marvel Rivals.
- Select Properties.

- Go to the DLC tab.
- Check Marvel Rivals High-Resolution Resource Pack to enable the high-resolution pack.

- Uncheck it to switch to the low-resolution resource pack.
Re-checking the DLC will initiate the download for the high-resolution pack.
After enabling or disabling the DLC, the game will automatically load the corresponding resources. For any issues, players are encouraged to contact official support channels.
