Delta Force Unleashes Biggest Update of the Year: Season "Meltdown" Arrives June 30

Delta Force is set to release its largest update of the year, Season "Meltdown," on June 30. This massive PC update, requiring a 33.5 GB download (57.3 GB on Steam), introduces a new Engineer Operator, new maps, vehicles, weapons, and significant system optimizations.

Ranked matches for Operations and Warfare will be offline from 00:30 UTC+0 on June 30, with Operations and matchmaking closing at 01:59 UTC+0. The update goes live at 02:00 UTC+0.

New Operator: N-Two

Gabriel Mercier, Code Name: N-Two, joins as a new Engineer Operator, specializing in frost-based crowd control and damage. His abilities include:

  • Frost Launcher: Fires up to six frost grenades that deal damage and freeze enemies, with increased fire rate on consecutive shots.
  • Cryo-Flask: Throws a canister releasing freezing gas, creating a subzero zone that continuously freezes enemies and can freeze closed doors.
  • Homing Stun Grenade: An auto-tracking grenade that disrupts vision and deals damage.
  • Frost Effect (Operations): Slows enemy movement and reduces fracture resistance.
  • Freeze Buildup (Warfare): Slows enemy movement and reduces vehicle handling.

Operations Updates

New Map: AZ3 Nuclear Plant

The new Operations map, AZ3 Nuclear Plant, will host Easy and Normal Operations. Entering leak zones and searching radiation containers will build up radiation exposure, affecting your character. Normal Operation entry costs 112,500 Tekniq Alloys.

New Boss: Neural Device Agent H1000

Deep within the AZ3 Nuclear Plant, players will encounter the Neural Device Agent H1000, a fast, lethal, and unpredictable boss integrated with Skynet.

Warfare Updates

New Map: Coliseum

The new Warfare map, Coliseum, features a major event with two branches:

  • Stray Thunder: Debris from an intercepted Haavk rocket rains down on Claudia.
  • Thunderstrike: The Haavk rocket crashes directly into the Coliseum, leading to a final showdown.

New Vehicle: CSV-35 Transport Helicopter

The CSV-35 Transport Helicopter is a tiltrotor aircraft combining vertical takeoff with fixed-wing speed, designed for rapid troop deployment and self-defense.

New Weapons, Ammo & Attachments

  • RM277 Assault Rifle: Uses 6.8x51mm caliber ammo.
  • SVCH Marksman Rifle: Uses 7.62x54Rmm caliber ammo.

Several new ammo types are introduced, including Season Limited Ammo (5.8x42mm DVC12+P, DBP10+P) that slows enemies and improves weapon stability, and CT Ammo (9x19mm, .45 ACP) for increased limb damage. New PLY-I/II/III Ammo (6.8x51mm) offers varying penetration and recoil control. PAB-7/9 Ammo (9x39mm) applies a vulnerability effect to struck body parts.

New attachments include the Compound Bow Frameless Sight and limited-time Haavk Weapon Attachments like the SVCH Swiftwind Dual Mag and ASh-12 Battle Rifle HVK Binary Trigger Kit.

Black Site & Season Mission Updates

  • Decontamination Chamber: A new Black Site system offering increased radiation resistance and faster natural radiation decay, unlocking at Operations Levels 9, 14, and 27.
  • S10 Season Mission Reset: All S9 mission progress will be cleared. S10 introduces a new mission line with an Investigation Board to track intel on the AZ3 Nuclear Plant. Player choices in the final mission will determine one of two distinct S10 Season Mission badges.

In-Game Combat & Level Improvements

All Modes

  • Character Perspective & Control Optimizations: Includes leg model display in first-person (mobile), Operator voice lines for squadmate skill requests, improved mantling and prone logic, and better water interaction effects.
  • Bug Fixes: Addressed visual anomalies in the Firing Range, incorrect range stats for the MK4 Deep Space Chrome Barrel, and abnormal visual effects for the AR57 Nightingale Suppressed Integral Barrel.
  • Scope Compatibility: Improved compatibility for the 1P-33 2/4x Scope and VMX Frameless Sight.

Operations

  • Hot Zone: Automatic weapons now feature Blinding Flashlight munition, new Set options for several rifles, and Stamina Injectors in loadouts.
  • M82 Sniper Rifle: Can now damage Chariot-type vehicle equipment.
  • Map Rotation: The new season's map rotation has been updated.

Warfare

  • Secondary Objective: Attack and Defend mode introduces secondary objectives, allowing attackers to redeploy after holding them for 60 seconds (Coliseum Objective B, D; Monument Objective D).
  • Environmental Burning: Vegetation and objects on Coliseum can now be ignited, dealing damage and spreading fire.
  • Vehicle Adjustments: CSV-35 Transport Helicopters replace Assault Vehicles on Akh Canal and Fault, and are added to Ascension. New Vulcan Cannon and Auto Vulcan Cannon fixed weapons are introduced.
  • Dynamic Deployment Positions: Aircraft spawn locations are now randomly selected within defined areas on Fault and Threshold.

System Optimization

  • Account Creation: Increased available Operators.
  • Tutorial: Added a system gameplay tutorial.
  • Lobby Emotes: Interactive emote functionality added to Squad lobby (F2).
  • Chat System: Timestamps added to private and squad channels.
  • New Achievements: "G.T.I. Superman" (eliminate 7 enemies under max radiation in AZ3) and "Carjacked" (commandeer an enemy ground Chariot-type vehicle).
  • Deluxe Charm Cabinet: Display Deluxe Charms and activate season-exclusive effects upon collecting all Legendary Deluxe Charms.
  • Ahsarah Card System: New in-match collectibles (Ahsarah Cards and Card Boxes) for playing cards with friends outside of matches.

Weapon & Operator Balance Adjustments

Operations Weapon Adjustments

  • M7 Battle Rifle: Base Limb Damage Multiplier and Damage reduced.
  • AS Val Assault Rifle: Damage and Armor Penetration reduced.
  • AK-12 Assault Rifle: Base Limb Damage Multiplier increased.

Warfare Weapon Adjustments

  • SG552 Assault Rifle: Range Falloff increased.
  • MP7 Submachine Gun: Range Falloff reduced.

Operator Balance Adjustments

  • Morse: Advanced Sonar Device detection range preview added. Throwable Jammer draw/pre-throw sound range increased, warning visibility increased, explosion delay increased, and stun effect camera rotation restriction reduced. Sonic Damage in Warfare reduced.
  • Gizmo: Crawler Nest T.I.M. target detection range and movement speed reduced in Operations.
  • Shepherd: Sonic Paralysis now displays the number of paralyzed enemies in Operations. Enemy device mark visible distance on map reduced in Warfare.
  • Sineva: EOD Set weapon switch speed increased, Inspection function re-enabled.
  • Tempest: Drill Charge Hit Damage reduced in Warfare.
  • Toxik: "Dragonfly" Swarm System drain speed significantly increased during initial hit phase in Operations.
  • Vlinder: Remote Rescue Score increased in Warfare; plasma injection and friendly remote rescue scores removed.

Numerous bug fixes and optimizations for Operators, including issues with Toxik's item effects, Hackclaw's Data Knife, Morse's Flashbang, Gizmo's Crawler Nest, Uluru's Quickset Cover, Nox's Flashbang, Raptor's Trail Investigation, Shepherd's UAV notifications, Uluru's Battle Hardened effect, minimap display, Vlinder's Med Dust, Uluru's Loitering Munition camera, and D-wolf's Triple Blaster and Tactical Slide.
