Apex Legends Update Fixes Bugs, Deactivates Pings, and Confirms Solo-Queue Test Date

Apex Legends has rolled out a new update on June 24, 2026, addressing several in-game issues and temporarily deactivating a feature. Additionally, the highly anticipated solo-queue-only test for Diamond+ players has been officially scheduled.
Latest Game Update: Bug Fixes and Temporary Deactivation
The recent patch focuses on improving game stability and player experience. Key fixes include:
- Unprompted Mirage voicelines have been stopped.
- Resolved an issue where some players lost control of their Legend upon landing from a dropship.
- Resolved an issue that saw the Drop Zone removed from intended high-tier Ranked matches.
In a temporary measure, the ability for dead teammates to ping on the map has been deactivated. This feature is expected to return in a future update.
Respawn Entertainment is also actively investigating critical issues, including:
- Crashes with the error Code:Truck.
- Issues resulting in lowered FPS.
Diamond+ Solo-Queue Test Confirmed for June 30th
The previously announced solo-queue-only test for players ranked Diamond or higher will commence on June 30th at 10 AM PT. This test is scheduled to run until July 13th, or until sufficient data has been gathered. During this period, Diamond+ players will be unable to matchmake as premade squads into Ranked matches.
The delay in the test's implementation was a direct result of Respawn's commitment to prioritizing stability. As mentioned in a recent matchmaking blog, frequent and varied matchmaking tests have sometimes led to complications, including outages in the last split. The team ensured that all systems were stable enough to safely and reliably execute this test, minimizing risk. With recent weeks showing improved matchmaking system stability, the test is now set to proceed as planned.
