Apex Legends: Power Trip Event Unleashes Wildcard Modifiers and Ash Prestige Skin, Plus Latest Patch Notes
Apex Legends has launched the Power Trip Event, pushing Legends beyond their limits with new Wildcard round modifiers, bio-enhanced cosmetics, and a new Prestige Skin for Ash. Alongside the event, a small update has been deployed to address several in-game issues.
Power Trip Event: Wildcard Mode
The Power Trip Event introduces the Wildcard mode, challenging players across 5 rounds where some will mutate with random modifiers affecting all Legends. These modifiers include:
- Featherweight: Legends jump higher, double jump, and fast fall while airborne.
- Armored Up: Gain Red Tier Armor and Knockdown Shield.
- Red Handed: All weapons are upgraded to Mythic.
- Crouching Camo: Legends cloak while crouching or sliding.
- Small Fry: All Legends shrink.
- Blind Box: All Legends get the same random weapon.
- Adrenaline Rush: Run and slide faster, wallrun on command, with an extra speed boost on knocking an enemy.
- Explosive: Legends gain infinite grenades and self-destruct on death.
- Blank Slate: All effects are disabled.
For the first time, Wildcard features its own map rotation, including Kings Canyon, Olympus, and Broken Moon. Players can earn Vials throughout the event to unlock items from the Rewards Shop.
New Cosmetics and Ash's Prestige Skin
The event also brings 25 new cosmetics, inspired by Legends transformed beyond their limits. These include bio-enhanced skins for Octane, Fuse, Wraith, Bangalore, and Lifeline. Additionally, Ash receives a new Prestige Skin, featuring a custom Finisher and a unique Dive Trail.
Latest Update 6/2/2026 Patch Notes
A small update went live on June 2, 2026, addressing the following fixes:
- FIXED: Buildings on Kings Canyon will no longer become out of bounds after reinforcing Hard Light.
- FIXED: Players will now respawn with a white backpack after being respawned at a Respawn Beacon.
