Apex Legends: Power Trip Event Unleashes New Wildcard Modifiers & Ash Prestige Skin Alongside Key Fixes

Apex Legends has launched the Power Trip Event, introducing new challenges and cosmetics, alongside a crucial update addressing several in-game issues.
Power Trip Event: Push Beyond Limits
The Power Trip Event invites Legends to push their boundaries in the Wildcard mode. Players will navigate five rounds, some standard, others featuring random modifiers that drastically alter gameplay. These modifiers include:
- Featherweight: Legends jump higher, double jump, and fast fall.
- Armored Up: Grants Red Tier Armor and Knockdown Shield.
- Red Handed: All weapons are upgraded to Mythic quality.
- Crouching Camo: Legends cloak while crouching or sliding.
- Small Fry: All Legends shrink.
- Blind Box: All Legends receive the same random weapon.
- Adrenaline Rush: Run and slide faster, wallrun, and gain a speed boost on knock.
- Explosive: Legends gain infinite grenades and self-destruct on death.
- Blank Slate: All effects are disabled.
For the first time, Wildcard will feature its own map rotation across Kings Canyon, Olympus, and Broken Moon. Players can earn Vials throughout the event to unlock items from the Rewards Shop, including 25 new bio-enhanced cosmetics for Legends like Octane, Fuse, Wraith, Bangalore, and Lifeline.
Additionally, a new Prestige Skin for Ash is available, featuring a custom Finisher and a unique Dive Trail.
Latest Update: Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements
A recent update on May 28, 2026, has rolled out several fixes and improvements:
- Vantage's pings are now visible to teammates as intended.
- Seer's Ultimate now correctly displays enemy footsteps.
- Axle's Kickstart explosion now clears smoke and gas in its AoE, aligning with other explosions.
- The Turbocharger hop-up UI accurately displays necessary information.
- Players can now craft at a Replicator in Wildcard without input delay.
- Adjustments have been made to shadows and highlights on Kings Canyon and Olympus.
- Performance improvements have been implemented for PS4 consoles.
Respawn is also investigating issues related to FPS drops or stuttering after killing an enemy, specifically tied to certain hardware configurations.
