Apex Legends: Overclocked — New Legend Axle, Deathbox Respawns, and Ranked Update

Apex Legends is gearing up for its next major season, Overclocked, bringing a new Legend, significant gameplay mechanics, and a glimpse into future Ranked updates. Fortune favors the fearless in this new season, pushing players to move fast and hit hard.

Major Ranked Update Confirmed for Season 32
Respawn has announced a Major Ranked Update slated for Season 32. This comes in response to continuous player feedback, with the development team actively working to refine the competitive experience. More details on the new look and feel of Ranked will be shared closer to Season 32.
New Legend: Axle
Axle, the newest hypermobile Legend, joins the Apex Games. Her kit is designed for high-speed engagements and battlefield control:
- Drift (Passive): Increased slide speed and control.
- Nitro Gate (Tactical): Launches Axle into high-speed rotations.
- Kickstart (Ultimate): An enemy-seeking explosive drone that displaces and disorients enemies, flushing them out from cover.
Axle demands aggressive play, providing tools for teammates to keep pace with her fast-paced style.

Deathbox Respawns
A new mechanic, Deathbox Respawns, allows players to revive teammates directly from their Deathboxes. This offers an alternative to traditional respawn beacons, rewarding teams that successfully clear and hold an area. However, the process is slow, noisy, and visible to enemies, with subsequent deaths incurring an increasing Lockout Time penalty.

Chain Healing
Chain Healing introduces new options for queuing healing items. Players can now automatically queue another healing item after the current one completes. The settings include:
- Off: Disables Chain Healing.
- Single (Default): Queues one additional heal action.
- Auto: Continuously queues the active healing item until resources run out or the health pool is full.

Legend Updates: Conduit and Vantage
Overclocked also brings buffs to existing Legends:
- Vantage: Her passive receives an ultimate boost, and her tactical is tweaked for agility in close-quarters. Her ultimate now features improved handling and a new 2x optic.
- Conduit: Her passive, tactical, and upgrades are being adjusted to enhance her role as a playmaker among Support Legends.
Further details on Legend changes will be available in the Designer's Notes on May 1st, 2026, and the full Patch Notes on May 4th.

Apex Legends: Overclocked promises a high-speed season with significant changes to gameplay and competitive play, available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
