Apex Legends Anti-Cheat Achieves Record-Low Infection Rate Amidst Ban Wave

Apex Legends' anti-cheat team has announced significant progress in combating cheaters, revealing a record-low infection rate for the game. As of April 24, 2026, midway through Split 2 of Season 28, the team has banned 28,267 accounts across all platforms since their last update on April 2.

Key Anti-Cheat Milestones

  • Total Bans (April 2 - April 24): 28,267 accounts
  • DMA Card Bans: Nearly 1,000 accounts banned for using DMA cards, a sophisticated cheating method.
  • RP Removed in Season 28: A total of 6,655,192 RP has been removed from cheaters this season.
    • Split 1: 4,413,776 RP
    • Split 2: 2,241,416 RP

Perhaps the most notable achievement is the reduction of Apex Legends' infection rate to 4.1%. This marks the lowest infection rate since the team began tracking these statistics, significantly down from the previous all-time low of 5.8% reported in December 2025. The anti-cheat team credits this success to their dedicated security efforts and the community's active participation through reports and tips.

The team confirmed they are actively working on further updates, enhancements, and detection methods, with more information expected to be shared soon.
